My right hand after being flame-kissed by the fire

Being that this coming Sunday will mark one year since I figured what better tip to start off my Tip du jour.

Take it from me I know from experience that no one should ever play with fire, never have flammables near fire, do not purposely pour flammables onto hot coals or open flame, do not ever believe that for a moment you are smart than a fire.

Long story short, it hurts badly when you are burned.  So leave fire building to someone who knows what they are doing, which obviously is not me.  Therefore, I will never attempt building a fire again with the aid of a flammable.

If you want to read more about my unfortunate and very poor decision of trying to start a fire with diesel fuel supplement, you can read it here

  3. Aw honey, I'm so sorry! Thank the Lord it was just your hand and nothing more because I can only imagine the pain you're in!

  4. Thank you for the thoughtful comments. This particular incident happened a year ago, this Sunday to be exact.

It was a stressful couple of months for the burnt skin to come off and the baby skin underneath to "mature." Basically meaning to toughen up so that it wasn't so tender.

Even a year later, my hand is baby-soft and although the scar isn't too noticeable, I see it and it is a constant reminder of what fire can do - (and my stupiditiy.) haha
